Getting Started
What is Shopify Product Downloader?
Shopify Product Downloader is a Chrome extension that lets you export product data from any public Shopify store. You can download titles, descriptions, prices, variants, images, SKUs, tags, and more — all in one click.
How do I install the extension?
Visit the Chrome Web Store and click 'Add to Chrome'. The extension will be installed in seconds. No account required to try it — you get 10 free trial exports right away.
Does it work on all Shopify stores?
It works on any public Shopify store that exposes the standard /products.json endpoint. Most Shopify stores do. Private or password-protected stores are not supported.
Do I need a Shopify account to use this?
No. You only need a Chrome browser and the extension installed. You do not need a Shopify account.
Credits & Billing
What is a credit?
1 credit = 1 successfully exported product. If you export 500 products from a store, 500 credits are used. Credits are only charged for successful exports.
Do credits expire?
No. Credits never expire. Buy them once and use them whenever you need.
What happens if a product fails to export?
Failed products are not charged. You only pay for products that were successfully exported.
What if I cancel a download halfway through?
You are only charged for products that were already exported before you cancelled. Products not yet exported are not charged.
Can I get a refund?
If you have unused credits and are unsatisfied, please contact us at support@shopifydownloader.com. We handle refund requests case by case.
What payment methods are accepted?
We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) via our payment provider Creem.
Using the Extension
What data can I export?
You can export: product title, description, vendor, product type, tags, status, price, compare-at price, SKU, barcode, inventory, weight, variants (all options), and product images.
What export formats are supported?
CSV (Shopify-compatible format), JSON, and Excel (XLS). The CSV format is compatible with Shopify's product import template.
Can I export a specific collection?
Yes. Navigate to a collection page on the Shopify store, then open the extension. It will detect the collection and let you export only those products.
Is there a limit on how many products I can export at once?
There is no hard limit. You can export entire stores with thousands of products. The only limit is your credit balance.
How do I connect the extension to my account?
Click 'Sign in' in the extension popup. A browser tab will open for you to sign in with Google or email. Once signed in, the extension connects automatically and shows your credit balance.
Account & Privacy
Do I need an account to use the extension?
No. You can try the extension with 10 free trial exports without an account. An account is required to purchase and use additional credits.
How do I sign up?
Click 'Sign in' in the extension or visit our website. You can sign up with Google or with your email address (we'll send you a magic link — no password needed).
What data do you collect?
We collect your email address for account purposes, and we log which stores you export from and how many products you export (for billing). We do not store the actual product data you download. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Is my payment information stored?
No. Payment processing is handled by Creem. We never see or store your card details.
